Further to my review above. We have now used the tent with the Hampton 4 extension and would not be without it.
It's fantastic and provides a good, covered cooking and storage area, keeping the inside of the tent clear.
Asd a floor we use the large, interlocking black foam squares you can get which are also just the ticket.
Incidently, it's also perfect for our Outwell Carolina M (side or front) which we use when just the two of us go camping. |

we bought this last year as a display model at a 'travelling circus' and for an excellent discounted price.
It was our first tent and has behaved admirably. We slightly damaged one of the elbow sections erecting in high winds once last year, but were still able to use it. Took the damaged pole to Tony Wild (woburn Abbey) who somehow arranged a gratis replacement. There is one tiny tear in the eybrow, and some loose stitching that I have to repair this wekend, which I would put down to wear and tear as an ex-display model. Our only other niggly complaint is that it seems impossible to get a carpet that fits properly - we've tried 3, all either too short or too narrow, but that's not the end of the world!
Tony Wild suggested the extension/tunnel from the Hampton 4 which we saw fitted to the Havana at their shop, so we're trying that this weekend also. |

I asked royal leisure for help in finding a replacement steel pole on the 10th of May the dealer in Kent whose name they supplied did not want to know as they did not supply the tent and after emails to royal i'm still waiting for a reply customer service? i don't think so. |

The tent is good, however the instructions for putting it up are awful and I damaged one of the poles. Hopefully Royal can send me another one, but I'll keep you posted. Hope it doesn't leak horrendously!? IKEA Instr are easier!

Just taken ownership of our Havana 6 and we are thrilled with it. Have erected it in back garden and it went up relatively easily (although it did take an hour on our first go!). It does require 2 people to erect and we did have fun trying to hold 2 sets of poles at the same time to avoid them crashing down! However it is pretty straightforward once you get the knack. The Royal web page pdf instructions are not as detailed as they could be, and leave alot to the imagination. Packing the tent away was very easy and was completed within 20 minutes.(We didn't bother with the instructions this time!) We did take a gamble buying this tent as we could find no outlet who had this erected in a showroom. Even after my husband had marked out its footprint in the garden we were pleasantly surprised when the tent arrived. The tent is well made. The outer materials, zips etc feel strong and robust. We viewed several other well known makes in our search and found some to feel quite cheap and flimsy. The Royal is not. Inside there is so much space! We are a family of 4 (4 yr old twins) and I felt I needed a larger living space. However I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the living space is usable within the Havana. You can stand up in all areas of the living space as the head room is great. My husband is 6ft tall and can just about touch the roof to hang the lantern on the attached ceiling loop. As a result, the tent feels airy and the large front window and side windows let in a lot of light. The tent comes supplied with extra poles so a porch can be made by opening up the large front window. However there is no insect mesh on this window/door unlike the others. We have found 1 EHU zipped opening so far and also 1 in the inner tent. We were hoping to use the dividing walls in the inner tent to separate us from the kids but will probably not bother as there does not seem to be a 50:50 configuration, as the inner tent is designed to be separated into thirds. All in all as a ardent caravanner, who was not at all looking forward to camping, I can't wait to have some good holidays in our new Royal Havana 6."

Shame you can't get an extension for this tent, unlike the Atlanta and Hampton. Would love to be able to add to it in the future. Although someone did mention that the above extension MIGHT fit, is this true? |

Absolutely love the tent. It is spacious, light and feels sturdy. I also feel the instructions need to be improved. For complete novices at camping a picture showing how to put the pin in the pole would be handy! Obvious now, but had me foxed. More photos for every step would be handy and how to hold the tent up whilst manipulating the different poles! |

Used this tent twice now and leaked horrendously on its first real test and pole quality is very bad. Slightly agree with the first review it might be due to the fact that the instructions are awful but I doubt it. After using an Outwell Montana 6 tent for many years with no problems I doubt we'll be using this one again. Looking for a refund at the moment until then the Outwell will have to do, at least we will stay dry. |

Nice light spacious tent. I agree with previous comments regarding dire instructions for putting it up. Also suggestions on how to get the whole lot back into the bag would be good too. |

I'm glad to here you like this tent, very sorry to here that you did not feel our instructions were good enough.
We have sent you an email asking for more information on this and hopefully with your feedback we can improve the instructions for this tent. |
